New line dance....The Caribbean Pearl....it's a little unusual, has an intro dance for four walls, then the main dance, which is only a two wall dance. It's a little tricky as the tempo changes but did it for the first time last and really enjoyed, even my dance teacher said I did good for my first time *blushes*

So...Nikki and I now attend a new line dancing class. Our old teacher changed the format of the old class, taking out the intermediate section, so nah...would have been bored and there's been a lot of 'issues' with her behaviour (she's 63 and acts like a petulant teenager at times).  So...I had this fab idea....I want to choreograph a line dance.  I do actually have my reasons but I'll let you know them once the dance is polished.

Now I've been line dancing *counts on fingers* 3 years, 8 months and my friend Nikki has been doing it for over 8 years now.  We're both intermediate level, not advanced (that's what my teacher is), ( Read more... )

That is something you hear line dancers say a lot...especially me when I'm learning a new dance.  We learnt 'Poker Face' last night, it's an advanced dance *groans* we're not advanced, we're intermediate, my teacher is advanced, but we're always willing to give something a go and apparently my 'anchor' step looks like I'm having sex *raises one ( Read more... )

As you know, I'm a line dancer...of sorts.

This is one of my favourite dances, it's actually a slow waltz but you can also dance it to the paso doble...I can barely speak after dancing this and we're not quite as OTT as the girl in the silver trousers is.
